Lake District 2018

In July 2018 my parents and I returned to Borrowdale, in the Lake District. On the edge of Derwent Water. This time I invested in a LEE 10 stop filter, to attempt some slow exposure photography. Unfortunately with no rain and mostly clear skies, it made a bit difficult to achieve the typical "clouds and water" look.

The heat in Cumbria was both glorious, and intense, which made it quite difficult to spend whole days walking. The local waterfall was almost entirely dry to the heat, and at one point the water supply ran out, but did later return.

But despite the heat and water issues, we did manage to visit the local Chinese Bridge, Lodore Falls, Keswick and Ambleside and take a few walks a long the Lake's edge.
